Getting paid with PayPal

If you need currency conversion or if your currency is not on the list for Eventbrite Payment Processing (direct deposit), you can use PayPal. Funds from ticket sales will go directly into your PayPal account after PayPal deducts their payment processing fee. Eventbrite will send a monthly invoice to collect the Eventbrite Service fee. To get started, make sure you have a Premier or Business Account on PayPal. Then go to ‘Payment Options’ under ‘Payments & Tax’.

1. Check this before you start

Certain features are unavailable when using PayPal as payment processor. Make sure that you don’t need any of these features before switching to PayPal.

2. Set up your payouts

  1. Go to your event's Dashboard via "Manage events" in your account.

  2. Select “Payment Options” (under "Payments & Tax").

  3. Put in your Country & Currency.

  4. If your country and currency don’t match, the PayPal field automatically pops up.

  5. Put in your PayPal account email address.

  6. Select “Save” to confirm your changes.

3. Payout Timeline

Your ticket sales will go directly into your PayPal account, so you’ll want to log in to PayPal to check your funds.

Eventbrite charges a service fee that's either included or added to the ticket price attendees pay. To collect these fees, Eventbrite sends you an invoice on the first of the month. This includes the Ticketing Fees of all orders from the month before. The invoice needs to be paid 30 days from the date it’s sent.

If you don't pay your invoice on time, your account will be suspended, so it's best to pay as soon as you can. Eventbrite sends reminder emails if you're approaching your due date and haven't paid yet.

4. Pay your invoice

To pay your invoice:

  1. Log in to Eventbrite

  2. Go to “Account Settings” in your account

  3. Click “Invoices” under “Organizer”

  4. Click “Pay Now”

You can pay the invoice with a debit or credit card (USD, AUD, CAD, EUR, GBP, and NZD only), or with PayPal.

For events using U.S. dollars, you can also send a physical check (with your invoice number written on it) to:

Eventbrite, Inc.P.O. Box 204845 Dallas, TX 75320-4845 USA

Keep in mind that it takes about 10 business days after Eventbrite receives your check to process it. You’ll get a confirmation email once it’s processed.

5. Review invoices

To review your invoices:

  1. Log in to Eventbrite

  2. Go to “Account Settings” in your account

  3. Click “Invoices” under “Organizer”

  4. Click on an invoice number to see the events for that invoice

  5. Hit the event name for an overview of all the orders. View Eventbrite fees, any refunds you've processed, and charges or credits applied to your Eventbrite account.

6. PayPal support

If you have questions about your PayPal account or payout, take a look at PayPal’s Help Center. You can also contact them through chat, email or phone.
