Waitakere Auckland Brass Band

Waitakere Auckland Brass was established in 1923 in the heart of New Lynn as the New Lynn Citizens Band. The Band has retained its local connection but now proudly bears a name which highlights both the Waitakere Ranges and the wider Auckland area. 

For over 90 years the band has been producing quality entertainment all across New Zealand and overseas with tours to the UK, China and more. The band has also earned an enviable reputation for its annual concert series.

In 1999 the band became "National Champions of New Zealand", and has been crowned Champion Auckland Band on many occasions. The band are proud to have many talented players around the stands and currently have four National Champion Soloists in their ranks.
