Taste of New Haven

Taste of New Haven is one of the region's highest acclaimed tourist activities, events and culinary experiences. We run food tours, pizza tours, classes, festivals, events and more. Founded in 2011 by historian, architect, author, educator and producer Colin M. Caplan, Taste of New Haven has brought tens of thousands of people into the rich culture and history of New Haven centered our the city's amazing food scene. Caplan spearheaded New Haven being declared The Pizza Capital of the United States, the Connecticut Pizza License Plate, and the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title attempt for Largest Pizza Party on Sept, 12 2025. He is author of Pizza in New Haven among other title, and producer of actor in Pizza, A Love Story and Slice of America.
