Emily Pfeifer started carving wood in 2009. After finding a passion for the Scandinavian styles, she spent one year in an intensive woodcarving course at Hjerleid, the historic folk art school in Dovre, Norway. She teaches dragon style (drakestil in Norwegian) and Baroque acanthus, with a particular affinity for Urnes style.
