SAARC - World of Repair Campaign

SAARC (Seattle/King County African American Reparations Committee) is a Black-led coalition advocating for reparations policy work in Washington State, with focus on Seattle and King County. Our local organizing aligns with regional and national reparations efforts to redress US chattel slavery and its unique harms to Black peoples. We design our organizing to move from harm to healing. Our research examines economic and social disparities that US direct descendants and our broader communities face. Our movement strategy is grounded in Black radical imagination, Beloved community, and US multiracial democracy.

The World of Repair 2025 campaign is a bold, visionary initiative led by SAARC to advance reparations through the power of storytelling, coalition-building, and legislative advocacy.
