Nadia-Anne
I have been working with sound all of my life through the form of music. It all began at the age of 3, when I started ballet classes, and I danced all through-out my growing up years.
At the age of 18 I immersed myself completely into the performance world at a renowned London Stage School, which took me working professionally to over 33 countries, where I was able to extract, learn, and integrate within myself high frequency energetic codes from numerous cultures.
In 2007, my intuitive sound artistry strengthened, after living and working in Ibiza, performing in the super clubs with world class DJ's, and immersing myself in the cosmopolitan electronic music lifestyle, socially and professionally. Human movement, consciousness & wellness were interwoven into my professional practice and my teaching/coaching career naturally flowed within this.
Shortly after, the manifestation of all of these experiences un-folded in a more technical sense, whilst studying a BA (Hons) Woven Textiles at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, London. I had an immediate epiphany of weaving the invisible geometrics of momentous sound experiences, into a tangible form, through my invention of BeatWoven. My worked developed into weaving the patterns of sound into visual arts around the world.
On the out-side, I looked to be a successful award-winning creative, however, behind the scenes, I suffered a series of life-changing external traumas, beginning at the age of 21, whilst living in Venezuela where I faced death in a shocking and violent way. Inevitably, substance abuse was also a part of my life for over 25 years. In turn, I dropped into my 'dark knight of the soul' and eventually I was diagnosed with severe C-PTSD in 2013, after my beautiful soul mate was brutally murdered on his way to see me in 2008. I deeply suffered behind the scenes as a 'victim'. I completely lost myself, and all sense of identity. I had to find a way of putting myself back together one piece at a time, and I did this focusing on healing myself through extensive research, holistic remedies, personal development, and spirituality.
Over a span of 24 years I have seen first-hand how sound is expanding, and I believe we are now on the verge of a 'Sound Revolution'. It’s the perfect time to use the medicine of sound, as an extended way for me to be of service to others, passing on my knowledge through creating and holding space for repair, manifestation, to create calm and to go on an internal investigation where we will find ALL the answers.
In 2019, I grew my experience by becoming a yoga teacher, and certified sound healer.
