Music Unity For Mental Health
Music Unity For Mental Health is a music events organization based in Chelmsford, Essex in The UK using the power of music to help with people's mental health and wellbeing. This is done by holding music events online and in venues and other projects such as DJ/Music workshops. By breaking down the barriers and stigma behind mental health and creating fun, informative, friendly and safe event environments we allow everyone to have a voice and support the cause even if they find it difficult to talk about their struggles, people are able to use music as an outlet. DJs/Volunteers/Venue staff all have a creative platform to express their support for the cause. We also signpost anyone who needs help to relevant services.

Our story:
Music Unity For Mental Health was nearly 8 years in the making, from a little idea to now being realized. We have so far raised over £5000 for outside charities and ourselves since launch with most of this being achieved during the Covid lockdowns with online events. We continued to provide music to everyone even though we were unable to host actual events.
We encourage volunteering at our events and projects to bring people closer to the music and to help anyone struggling...we have had many people already volunteer with us and it has helped them massively.
As you can see, Music Unity For Mental Health is not Genre specific so look out for other events and projects with varying genres in the future.
All of our profits will go towards our DJ/Production workshops and other projects and more events to keep raising awareness and funds for outside charities and organisations.
Music has the power to heal, be it just listening on your own at home or going to a gig or festival or dancing at a club night with 100s or 1000s of people..we want to go a step further and give people the chance to be a part of the music, that may be learning to play an instrument, being taught how to DJ, record a track at a real studio, shadow a sound engineer or lighting designer at a gig...We also encourage people to volunteer for us which allows them to work with us and get properly involved in all aspects of an event....all this helps to promote better mental wellness.
Through our many years working within many aspects of music we are drawing on all that experience now to help people with their mental health. We have all been through our own struggles and know how much music has helped so now it is time to give something back. Professional help is necessary but having a support network is a no brainer when it comes to mental health. Friends/Family/work colleagues etc all play an important part in the well being of someone who is struggling....Music can also play a role in that support and that is our main aim....It is our mission.
Let's make lots of noise and truly make a difference ❤
