Neal McCullough is a Belfast-based Illustrator and Graphic Designer and has worked with globally recognised institutions like the BBC, Time Inc., YouTube and many other clients across the Globe for wellover 25 years – creating bold, colourful, iconic illustrated content.
In 2009, after spending years honing his craft in advertising and design studios in London and across the United Kingdom, Neal founded Hand Drawn Creative. A backyard based illustration and graphic design studio of his very own, specialising in creating a signature take on mod atomic retro americana inspired commercial illustration & graphic design.
Through Hand Drawn Creative, Neal has created strong, distinctive creative campaigns, working with some of the World’s most recognisable institutions. In 2022, Neal’s wife Julie officially joined the team – making Hand Drawn Creative a real family business, with their talented daughter Melissa keen to take over the reins (once she graduates from Art School of course!)
Still passionate about their role in the creative industries after fifteen years in business, Hand Drawn Creative looks forward to creating evermore astounding artwork for all our clients in the UK, USA, Europe and beyond, it continues to be quite the adventure!
Working with Hillary Carlip to help create the visual identity for Hollywood’s Willis Wonderland Foundation and more recently, the Willis Wonderland POP-UP book along with Paper Engineer Mike Malkovas, has been an all-time career high for Neal. This is one Northern Irish creative who has come to realise that maybe he should have been born in Palm Springs – not Belfast!
