Geoff Simmons, Summerstown182
Geoff Simmons runs a community history project in south west London called Summerstown182 alongside his job as a graphic designer. This involves Guided Walks and Talks, working with schools and putting up plaques. These include Tooting's 'Reggae Superstars', 'The Daffodil King' and Sadie Crawford 'Lost Woman of British Jazz'. 'The People of Wardley Street' acknowledged Wandsworth's Romany Gypsy and Traveller heritage and 'Planet Tooting' saw a plaque on Tooting Market in celebration of the area's migrant contribution. Most recently a plaque was placed to mark the site of the 'Lost Nursery of Blooming Tooting'.
