Welcome to Furzedown Litfest!

Furzedown’s first literary festival will take place on May 10th, 2025, at Mitcham Lane Baptist Church. The festival is the brainchild of a group of local residents with a passion for literature, created to celebrate the wealth of talent from this corner of South London.

Diversity and inclusivity lie at the heart of this inaugural event. Writers come from a wide range of backgrounds and cover topics ranging from politics and espionage to neurodiversity and children’s books.
