Gianluca graduated in Perugia, Italy, back in 2009. His main interest is in challenging surgeries, dentistry, and advanced imaging techniques. Between 2018 and 2024, he led the exotic animal care team at a bustling veterinary hospital in West Sussex, UK.

Since November 2022, he is part of the BVZS Council as Student Liaison Officer.

Since July 2024, he's been educating future vets as a Lecturer and Clinician in Rabbit, Exotics, and Wildlife Medicine at The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh.

Driven by a love for teaching, he completed his Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PgC HE) and earned the Fellowship in Higher Education (FHEA) and the General Practitioner Advanced Certificates in Small Mammals (GPAdvCertSMP) in 2022. He completed his Certified Aquatic Veterinarian (CertAqV) in 2024.

He frequently shares his expertise through lectures at the University of Surrey and Plumptom College. He is dedicated to continuous learning, regularly attending seminars, lectures, and International Conferences.
