Tia Upshaw is an award-winning entrepreneur, speaker, and community leader based in Nova Scotia. She is the Founder and CEO of Blk Women in Excellence, an organization dedicated to helping women start, grow, and scale successful businesses through mentorship, training, and access to resources.

Known for her honest, no-nonsense approach, Tia brings real strategy, lived experience, and practical tools that drive results. She has trained and supported hundreds of women entrepreneurs across Canada and continues to build pathways for economic empowerment and leadership.

Tia is also a media personality, hosting her bi-weekly segment “Tuesdays with Tia” on CTV Morning Live, where she highlights entrepreneurs and shares real conversations around business, visibility, and growth.
