The Awakened Meditation Centre is a Zen temple located in Toronto, Ontario. It is dedicated to the teaching of Korean Buddhism as passed down through the Jogye Order of South Korea. Our founding teacher is the Venerable Yangil Sunim, who received his dharma transmission from the late Venerable Wol Ha Sunim, Supreme Patriarch of the Jogye Order and abbot of Tongdosa Monastery. We hold weekly meditation classes at 5pm every Saturday and special sitting retreats throughout the year.
