School Social Work Association of Georgia
Our Mission
The School Social Workers Association of Georgia seeks to improve the quality of services to students so as to enhance their individual and educational potential.
Who We Are
School Social Workers are advocates who help students achieve academic success by linking the home, school, and community. In order to reach this goal, School Social Workers provide support services to remove barriers to student success. These support services include intervention, crisis support, and mental health counseling, addressing issues of non-attendance and truancy, and behavioral assessments to name a few.

Provide Crisis intervention
Assess students with mental health concerns
Identify and report child abuse and neglect
Conduct home visits
