Organizing an event

I received a, "Your connection is not private," message. What do I do?

Did you see the website security error, "Your connection is not private," when using a custom URL? It's most likely due to what you entered and not an actual security issue. Custom event page URLs should always begin with 'https://' and should not include 'www' (e.g., https://golden-gate-corgi-festival.eventbrite.com).

Whether you're promoting your event using a custom URL as an organizer OR trying to reach an event listing to register as an attendee, please note the following:

    DO: use "https://" (see example)

DON'T: use "http://" or include "www." (see example)

Using any of the formats listed under "DON'T" will result in receiving a "Your connection is not private" error message. Update the URL in the web address field and click ENTER on your keyboard to reach the event listing.
