Launch an Eventbrite Ads campaign

With Eventbrite Ads you can pay to advertise your event across Eventbrite's site and mobile apps. Public events automatically appear on Eventbrite, but when you create an Eventbrite Ad, your event may be prominently featured on Eventbrite's homepage, category pages, similar events, mobile app, and search results. Make sure your event meets our Ads Guidelines before you start your first campaign.

Create a new Eventbrite Ad campaign

  1. Go to Marketing Tools .

  2. Select Eventbrite Ads.

  3. Select Create an Eventbrite Ad.

If you want to use the same settings as a campaign you've already created, select the View more actions button (three dots) next to that campaign and choose Duplicate campaign details.

Set up your ad

Select the event you want to advertise and preview your ad. Ad placements aren't guaranteed and vary based on user search terms and campaign settings.

Choose your event

Your next event is automatically selected. If you want to advertise a different event, select the current event to view other eligible events. Then choose the event you want to promote. Selecting a recurring event will promote each instance.

If your event doesn’t appear on the menu, make sure it meets the location and currency requirements.

When you're ready to move on, select Next.

Preview your ad

Select Preview your ad to view how your ad will appear across Eventbrite.

Choose your campaign settings

Choose your ad objective, duration, budget, and targeting. Select Next when you're ready to add a payment method.

Set an objective

Objectives let you determine how your ad budget is used based on how you want your campaign to perform. Choose between:

  • Increase awareness: Maximize the number of people who see your ad.

  • Drive traffic: Show your ad to people most likely to engage with it.

  • Boost attendance (free events only): Show your ad to people most likely to register based on events they've been to before.

Campaign objectives can’t be changed after you launch. You must pause or end your existing campaign, and create a new campaign to choose a different objective.

Set your duration and budget

Decide how long you want to run your campaign and how much you want to spend each day.

Choose from the available daily budgets or select Customize to enter a custom amount. Your budget determines how often your ad is featured on Eventbrite. When you set a higher budget, your ad may get more impressions, and you’re more likely to experience better results.

Target a location

By default, your ad campaign will target impressions up to a 50 mile (80 kilometers) radius centered on your event location.

For online events, your ads will automatically target people across your country. You can also target a specific area by selecting Target locally. With this option, you can target specific cities by setting a center point and radius.

If you'd like to adjust your location targeting settings, change the targeted cities, Center point, and Radius. Your radius must be at least 10 miles (16 kilometers) and can't be more than 50 miles (80 kilometers).

Update your payment method

If you don't have card information saved, enter your credit or debit card information and select Save changes.

If you already have a card in your account, you can use it or select Change payment method to add a different card.

Your billing information will show the daily ad spend as well as the maximum ad spend based on your campaign settings.

After you select a payment method, accept the terms and conditions and select Review campaign.

Review and launch your campaign

Select Edit next to your campaign name to change it. Setting a custom name helps if you plan to run multiple ad campaigns for the same event.

If you need to make any other changes, select Change. When you're ready to launch, select Launch campaign.

Your ad will be “Pending” until it’s approved by Eventbrite’s Trust and Safety team. Once approved, your campaign will be "Live."

NOTE: If your campaign has been pending for more than 48 hours, contact us.
