How to request your event be removed from Google search results

If you published an event as “public” then later changed it to “private”, your event may still show up in Google search results. To remove it, you’ll need to file a request with Google. Before submitting your request, make sure that your event has already been set to private or unpublished.

In this article

  • 1. Send your request to Google.
  • 2. Provide Google with your event URL.
  • 3. Check the status of your request.

1. Send your request to Google.

Go to Google’s Remove outdated content page.

2. Provide Google with your event URL.

Click “New request” and enter the URL for the page you want Google to remove. Then click Submit.

3. Check the status of your request.

Revisit Google’s Remove outdated content page. The status of your request will show under “Removal requests”. If Google didn’t approve your request, click the question mark to see why.
