How to accept Bancontact payments for your event

If you're using Eventbrite Payment Processing on Eventbrite.be or with an event located in Belgium and are selling tickets in Euro, you can automatically accept payment through the widely-used Bancontact payment method at our standard fee rate. If you're attending an event and want to pay for Eventbrite tickets with Bancontact, check out this Help Center article.

In this article

  • 1. Go to your Manage page.
  • 2. Go to Set Payments & Payouts.
  • 3. Make sure your event is set up with Eventbrite Payment Processing.
  • 4. Check out your order form.

1. Go to your Manage page.

Event creators can log into their Eventbrite account here. Then select your event.

NOTE: If your event schedule has multiple dates and times, the payout details you provide will apply to each individual event in your overall schedule of events.

2. Go to Set Payments & Payouts.

3. Make sure your event is set up with Eventbrite Payment Processing.

The payment processor is set to Eventbrite Payment Processing the first time you create an event. Use the drop-down menu under Select payment processor to confirm this. Then enter your bank account information to set up your payout details.

Be sure to double-check your payment details for typos. You'll have to set your payment options for each new event you create.

NOTE: As is typical with Eventbrite Payment Processing, your payout starts processing 4-5 days after the event ends. You have until this payout is set in motion to process refunds.

4. Check out your order form.

When attendees register for your event, they can select Bancontact and enter their details. After choosing Pay Now, they'll be asked to go through a 3D secure process to finalize their payment.

Bancontact is not available for mobile-web or in app purchases.

TIP: If you need to issue full or partial refunds, use the same refund process as all Eventbrite Payment Processing events.

NOTE: We take privacy and security extremely seriously. View Bancontact Privacy Policy, and learn more about Eventbrite's Privacy Policy and security policies.
