Trans Day of Remembrance 2020

The event starts at 6:30pm in the UK / 19:30 in Sweden & Europe

Join us for an evening to celebrate, remember, and cherish Trans lives. It will be an evening of performance from artists living in Sweden and the UK, as well as reading the TDoR list of names in full.

This is an event by and for everyone in the Trans community.

We’ll be meeting on-line, creating a space to enjoy the resilience and creativity of our community. We want you to feel comfortable, so feel free to bring your dinner, dress up, light a candle, wear a feather boa, be with a loved one, as we come together in protest and solidarity.

You need to pre-register to attend.

We’ll be gathering on Zoom, registration will close 1 hour before the event. You will get your log-in details half an hour before the event. Audience members will be on mute throughout, it is of course up to you if you want to share your camera, or an image during the event.

***This is an alcohol free event.***

Access Info:

• The event will be around 2 hours long, we will be reading the TDoR list of names halfway through.
• The main language for the event is English,
• We will have a text to screen service subtitling in English*
• One of the Transfest collective will be available in the chat throughout the night to answer questions in Swedish.

Zoom etiquette and security:

All guests will be muted on entry and only registered guests will be able to enter.

Please feel free to turn your camera on or off as you wish. Please use the same name as you did at registration, or you may not be able to enter. This is to prevent “zoom-bombing”.

This is a space by and for our community. Any displays of racism, transphobia, homophobia, biphobia, sexism, ablism or other bigoted stance will not be tolerated and will result in being immediately removed from the room. This encompasses both video and the chat.
