The conference is organized by Wikimedia Sweden, Swedish Library Association and the Institute of Intellectual Property and Market Law, Stockholm University. It focuses on Text and Data Mining (TDM) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), and it will be held on June 14th at Stockholm University.
The conference aims to explore the legal and practical hurdles faced by researchers in making efficient use of TDM and AI methods. It will discuss the importance of flexible copyright norms, the challenges and possibilities that EU and national legislation pose for using and developing AI, and how this impacts the role of European AI projects on a global level. Finally, it will spotlight the pivotal role research libraries play in shaping AI advancements. The conference will be attended by academics, politicians and representatives of public authorities
