Come try/hack TAK with FRO and Amyna/Ideon! Build with Mesh, TAK Server, ATAK/iTAK/WinTAK, sensors, video, voice, maps, AI and more.
Don’t miss TAK Labs #2!
Following the success of P7 and Ideon Science Park’s “Hack for the Future of Defence” and FRO’s first TAK Labs at Minc in Malmö, it’s time for our next meetup.
This time, we’re gathering at Ideon Science Park in Lund for a hands-on day with TAK, organised by FRO.
You don’t need to be a developer or have any previous experience with TAK. Come along if you’re simply curious, want to get TAK running on your phone, learn the basics and try it out with others. For those who want to go further, there will be plenty of opportunities to build, integrate and experiment.

Our goal for the day
To give participants a practical understanding of how TAK can be used, extended and deployed—from installing and using a client to working with CoT, Meshtastic, cameras, video, voice, missions, maps, drones, AI and onboarding in the field.
We’ll explore topics including:
- Getting started with TAK: installation, authentication, roles, groups, maps, missions, federation and CoT.
- Communications and resilience: Meshtastic, local Wi-Fi, internet, CoT, voice and video.
- Sensors and situational awareness: heart rate data from Garmin, IP cameras, drones and video streams.
- Building and experimenting: onboarding, plugins, AI and lightweight gateways.
Whether you want to try TAK on your phone for the first time or build the next clever integration, you’re very welcome.
Bring your curiosity—and ideally a phone and laptop.
