About this Event

Are you a budding entrepreneur living in Southwark or in the London region?

Are you looking to develop your business idea or grow your new* business?

If you answered yes to any of the questions , the upcoming Southwark Local Launch for the Start-Ups in London Libraries programme (SiLL) is ideal for you. SiLL is an ERDF funded business support programme led by the British Library's Business & Intellectual property Centre. It is designed to support people from all walks of life to turn their business idea into a reality and help them to grow. SiLL aims to break down the barriers to entrepreneurship and give people the skills, information, confidence and connections they need to turn their ideas into viable businesses.

On the day from 10am to 12pm you will:

  • Hear from Cllr Kieron Williams and Cllr Rebecca Lury about how Southwark Council supports entrepreneurs to start-up, grow and scale their business in Southwark.
  • Find out from the British Library why this programme is beneficial to people starting their business in Southwark and across London
  • Be given the opportunity to book yourself on to a one-to-one session with your SME champion who will guide you to develop, refine and grow your business.
