Sensing Dissensus: EARN Symposium 2023

Doctoral studies at HDK-Valand Academy of Art and Design, University of Gothenburg, Western Sweden, provides a public programme of events open  to the general public comprising talks, seminars, conferences, and  most especially, the public defense of doctoral projects. Events are always free to the public, but booking a place in advance is typically recommended.

This is a  gathering of research groups to look at how artistic research collaboration enable & require alternative modes of disagreement.

Keynotes include Yazan Khalili, <a href="https://thequestionoffunding.com/Why-the-Question-of-Funding" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Question of Funding</a> (Thursday 26 October, 18:45) and Femke Snelting &amp; Eva Weinmayr <a href="http://www.artresearch.eu/2023/09/13/ecologies-of-dissemination-25-10-2023/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Ecologies of Dissemination</a> (Wednesday 25 October, 18:30). Venue: The Glasshouse , Vasagatan 50, courtyard, 411 37 Gothenburg. Panel presenatuons Thursday 25 October late - 15:15-18:15 "Collectivities and collaborations in research processes." with Ilse van Rijn, Nick Aikens, Natasha marie Llorens, Emiliano Battista and others.Participation is free, booking recommended. The symposium considers:<ul><li>different modes of collectivity in processes of artistic enquiry; and</li><li>the interactions between processes of collaboration and processes of disagreement.</li></ul>In addition to the two keynotes there is a series of panel rpesentaions on Thursday afternoon 25 October.
