SEI Currents 2026
Overview
Join us for the fifth SEI Currents – our webinar exploring the forces that will shape the year ahead. On 29 January, we present our analysis of what 2026 may bring: the major shifts we can anticipate and the subtle undercurrents that could steer the world in unexpected directions.
As multiple crises converge, understanding the complex interlinkages is critical, between issues such as changing climate, growing geopolitical tensions, emerging disruptive technologies, and growing pressure on the natural world. With 35 years of interdisciplinary research practices, SEI researchers are well placed to unpack the web of challenges the world is facing, drawing on insights from eight centres across five continents.
SEI Currents 2026 will highlight trends and then delve deeper into the options to address emerging risks and build a more resilient future – locally, regionally and globally.
