Process Safety and SIL: 10 essentials they do not teach you in school
There are tonnes of textbooks and references about process safety and SIL. In this lunch & learn webinar, Thomas Solberg Fylking and Baris Arslan from ORS Consulting will instead focus on sharing practical experiences and knowledge from oil and gas, petrochemicals, chemicals, hydrogen, and carbon capture sectors. The webinar will focus on what works and the pitfalls you should avoid when working with process safety and SIL in your industry. The presenters will discuss real-life examples from the project phase and operations and give some practical advice that works. Thomas and Baris will also highlight some aspects essential to consider for Project Managers and Procurement Specialist to frame the assignments properly and get the right expertise on board.

About presenters
Thomas Solberg Fylking has MSc in Chemical Engineering from the Norwegian University of Technology and Science (NTNU) in Norway. During the last 15 years, Thomas has been supporting process industries as Process Engineer and Process Safety Advisor. Thomas has been involved in many different projects worldwide, covering various asset lifecycles, including project developments, operations, and decommissioning.
Baris Arslan holds MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Lund University in Sweden with more than 15 years' experience in SIL and Process Safety from Scandinavian and other international assignments. Baris' broad expertise covers asset-operations, new- development, and modification projects in process industries. Baris has been involved in many tasks covering high integrity-, non-conventional process safety/protection systems, and lifetime extension matters.
