SEI's Consumption Compass 2.0 estimates Swedes' consumption-based emissions for nearly 110 different consumption categories, and enables comparisons between different geographical levels: municipalities, regions and Sweden's Demographic Statistical Areas.

In close collaboration with two Swedish municipalities Kalmar and Umeå, SEI has now developed and updated the first version of SEI's Consumption Compass, launched in 2022.

The interactive tool has now been integrated on the web and includes a time series showing how consumption-based emissions have progressed over the years 2019 to 2023. Funded by the Swedish Research Council for Sustainable Development, the tool is free of charge and open for anyone to utilize.
