<h2>How to get a diverse staff</h2>Whether you look into sales, R&amp;D or at the technical universities you will not see a lot of women represented. Is it due to a lack of interest from the women or what is the issue here. Fact is that many rental companies, manufactures etc are searching for a more diverse staff, but have a hard time finding applicants. We will discuss what causes the lack of more women in tech roles, and how we can remedy this deficit as well as what more diversity means for the businessGuest:Linnea Ljungmark - Business Development at AyrtonMarcus Lundahl - Managing Director for SoundwareLennart Ågren - Programme Director for Education for Theatre - Event &amp; StageTechnicians @ HVEAbout the seminarWILM would like to discuss with other actors from industry what we can do to increase diversity over the whole line from manufacturers to end users. And we will also like to debate what more diversity is good for.We are foremost looking at finding the reasons for the lack of diversity in our industry. But WILM also like simultaneous to communicate some of the obstacles like for instance women are facing in the industry.Hopefully we will be able to come up with some solution how we can achieve more diversity in the live event industry as well as make it sustainable.We are hoping very much to meet some of our business partners, as well as new friends and associates. And then we are of course looking forward to meet some of our Swedish members.We see trade shows are an excellent spot to meet and connect with peers in the industry. So much more knowledge can be achieved when we have a chance to get together in real life.

Malle Kaas:Malle Kaas is based in Copenhagen, DK and is the CEO and co-founder of the European organisation ‘Women In Live Music’. Next to managing WILM on a daily basis she works as a freelance sound engineer for Britannia Row in the UK, as well as several venues and bands, when she is home in Copenhagen. During the pandemic Malle stepped in as Nurse Anaesthetist, another of her many roles and was particularly helping out in Sweden.

<h3>Women In Live Music (WILM)</h3>WILM is a non-profit European organisation for women and other minorities working in the live event industry in Production, Technique &amp; Logistics.Our role is to create and maintain a more diverse backstage. We organise workshops and events all across Europe for our members, and are happy this time to be at LLB Oct.4th-6thTo us it is important to meet the industry and the industry to meet our members. A trade show like LLB is an excellent place for everybody to meet up, network, exchange and gain knowledge about what’s happening in the industry of live events. Marcus LundahlMarcus has been the VD for Danmon Group Sweden for the past 5 years, a company where he started as a Sales Manager in 2014. Before that he was team leader for Professional Audio Diversion. Marcus has many years of experience in company infrastructure as well as business development within the Pro Audio &amp; Video industry.

Linnea LjungmarkAn experienced Board Member with a demonstrated history of working in the entertainment industry leading. Having spent most a major part of her work life in Pro Audio &amp; Lighting Sales and distribution Linnea has more than 20 years' experience in the field with the past 15 years mainly in lighting, working towards a broad customer base including concert, touring, theatre and installation withcurrent focus on business development. In 2019 she joined the Paris based and highly innovative moving light manufacturer Ayrton, a company that specialises in developing intelligent LED and laser lighting solutions for the professional entertainment and the architecture industries.

Lennart ÅgrenLennart has been the head of the program since 2015 . The programme, as a vast majority of HVE, is created and under ongoing development in close collaboration with the industry, which also is a crucial partner for co-financing with premises, technology, equipment and trainers and coaches. Lennart has therefore updated knowledge on how it looks for female applications in the Swedish event industry
