Does my game need to be a specific state (pre-Alpha, Alpha, Beta, Shippable)?

Accepted Answer

No, we welcome games at any state - prototypes all the way to fully released.

Question 2

Can you provide a computer / monitor / peripherals?

Accepted Answer

No, you need to provide all the hardware necessary.  We can only provide a power outlet and wifi.

Question 3

How long do I have for the playtest?

Accepted Answer

The playtesting runs from 5pm to 8pm (3 hours).  We have a firm cutoff at 8pm for the playtest and 30 minutes to pack up and leave if you brought a game.  Everybody needs to be out of the Minc kitchen by 8:30pm.

Question 4

Do I need to arrive on time and stay the whole session?

Please arrive around 5pm if you’re setting up a game. There is no problem if you need to leave early.

Question 5

I'm not part of Game Startup Dojo, Minc, or Game Habitat - can I come anyway?

Accepted Answer

If you're part of the game development community, and have a genuine interest in getting or providing feedback to games in development, you're more than welcome.  There’s no requirement to be a part of Game Startup Dojo, Minc, or Game Habitat.
