DTC Open Water Swimming At Barton Marina

It's fantastic news that we are back we are up and running again. However we have a few rules to follow, while we are enduring this pandemic.

* You must book in on a training session, you cannot just turn up. If you just turn up you will not be able to participate in the session.

* You must pay for your session online at the time of booking.

* You must cancel your booking if you are no longer able to attend, a refund will be processed for all cancellations received 24 hours prior to the session. If you do not cancel and do not attend no refund will be provided.

* You must be an experienced Open Water swimmer to participate in the sessions at Barton.

* All Open Water participants are required to have a tow float. If you turn up without a tow float you will not be able to participate in the session.

* It is mandatory for all participants to wear a brightly coloured hat.

* You must practice good respiratory hygiene during the activity (i.e. coughing, sneezing into a tissue or the crook of an elbow)

* If you develop symptoms after a session should notify the COVID Officer (Jenny Romeo) immediately so that other members of the session can be advised and all should refer to the latest NHS advice.

* Please follow all instructions provided by the session coach, support staff or marshal.

* Please arrive 15 minutes before your session start time for the safety briefing.

* Prior to attending your first DTC training session you must complete the health screening form and email to the COVID officer Jenny Romeo a minimum of 24 hours prior to your session (See link below.)

* If we do not have a record of this form being completed you will not be allowed to participate in the booked session and no refund will be processed.

* Mandatory Pre-session COVID-19 Participant Health Questionnaires must be completed prior to every session and handed to the session administrator upon arrival at registration(See link below.)

Parking is free on the Barton Marina site. Please utilize either the small car park next to the lake, or the larger car park adjacent to the Marina complex.Please ensure you leave all valuables in the car. personal belongings can be left in the designated area at your own risk.

By signing up to a training session you are providing consent to the COVID Officer to share your details with the Track & Trace team if required. All health screening forms and questionnaires will be destroyed at the end of the season.
