Climate Fresk is a 3h long workshop designed for anyone who wants or needs to engage with climate change and the science behind it.
Eventdetaljer
Working in small groups, participants proceed through several rounds learning about the causes and effects of climate change. It’s a highly interactive, engaging and thought-provoking workshop, designed to foster collaboration and teamwork.
At the end of the workshop participants will leave with:
- thorough knowledge of climate science
- awareness of how interconnected our actions are
- appreciation of the climate crisis, and how we feel about it
- a pdf output of your group work and an email packed with extra resources you can keep coming back to for reference and further learning
- improved communication skills, especially around complex and emotive topics
- a powerful shared experience with the group
Our collaborative and participatory workshop breaks down the scientific reports from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and outlines them on 42 cards. As a team, the workshop participants place these cards in a cause-and-effect order, revealing the systemic character of the planet’s climate.
The event has three parts:
- The step-by-step build-up of the Climate Fresk in a team
- The creative phase: we summarize what you have learned
- The debrief: acknowledge where we are, share emotions, thoughts, ideas and actions!
We take a short break halfway through!
Our workshop was delivered to 200.000 people worldwide during public sessions, but also through customized experiences in corporations, universities, organizations and associations of all sizes. We are committed to spreading climate awareness, tackle climate silence and bring everyone to the same level of climate literacy. In Gothenburg and Sweden, Climate Fresk workshop is delivered by We Need You Too, a climate education hub based in Gothenburg.
We meet in a safe location where the physical distance between participants is possible. We provide a light fika (tea, fruits, water).
The workshop is in English, but the facilitator is a Swedish speaker and will provide translations and extra information in Swedish if needed.
Please note that these workshops are community sessions for the general public. We charge a fee to avoid no-shows. Refunds are not possible later than 7 days before the workshop. If you find it difficult to pay the reservation fee, please reach out to us.
We also organize corporate sessions and if you wish to bring this workshop to your company or workplace, please get in touch.
What other workshop participants have shared:
I loved this workshop! It was incredibly informative and engaging, and I really felt the facilitator's energy for this subject. While it was a lot to take in, it was also enjoyable because the pace was really good - the facilitator made sure we were relaxed and didn't get overwhelmed with the facts! I also found the last part, the wrap-up, totally uplifting.
Both the workshop and the facilitator did a wonderful job in explaining the climate system! It was interesting to see the interconnectivity of all the drivers, the effects, consequences, etc. Seeing the whole picture was an eye-opener!
I enjoyed Andreia's engaging energy and the positivity with which she delivered even such a difficult topic to digest as climate change. The workshop is informative and fun and super useful to open our mind's eye and allow it to remain open and pensive about this topic.
