Esra Düzen (b.1983, TR/NO) is a multidisciplinary artist exploring the roots of alienation in our society. In the past five years, Esra has primarily worked with textile, installation drawing, and performance, exploring how the lack of connection to ancestral knowledge and history has alienated our society and disrupted our sense of coherence and belonging. Düzen holds a BA from KHIO, and she had her most recent solo exhibition at Ram Galleri Oslo, in January 2025. She participated in group exhibitions at venues such as Kunstnernes Hus (in connection with Høstutstillingen), Tegnerforbundet, Bomuldsfabriken Kunsthall, Buskerud Kunstsenter, and Østfold Kunstsenter as part of Østlandsutstillingen, as well as at Hovedøya Kunstsal in connection with Coast Contemporary. She was also co-curator of the exhibition Viriditas (The Mystical in Art) at Tegnerforbundet in 2023.
Jesse Avdeikov (b. 1986, FI) is a visual artist working with painting, embroidery, writing, and installation. His current interests lie in the contrast between fast, gestural alla prima painting and the slow, meditative process of hand embroidery. Avdeikov draws inspiration from the endless image and video stream of the internet, classical painting, animals, food, mosses, and a wide range of emotions and emotional states. In his recent works, Avdeikov has explored the similarities and differences between embroidery and oil painting. He applies the skills and mindset of a painter to hand embroidery and refers to these works as “thread paintings.” Avdeikov holds an MFA from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of the Arts Helsinki (2020) and a BA in Fine Arts from Tampere University of Applied Sciences (2014). His work was most recently shown in his solo exhibition Love of My Life at tm•galleria (Helsinki, 2024) and in the group exhibition Stars and Wormholes at HAA Gallery in Suomenlinna Sea Fortress, Helsinki, Finland.
