DC’s Annual Truck Touch Returns! This free family festival features city vehicles and activities for children of all ages.

The DC Dept. of Public Works (DPW) hosts more than a dozen in-person food waste drop-off events at Farmers Markets citywide every weekend (9am to 1pm, Sat or Sun). Find the complete list of drop-off options at https://zerowaste.dc.gov/foodwastedropoff.

Home Composting Workshops provided by the DC Department of Public Works. Only DC Residents may register; proof of residency is required to participate.

DC DPW's Off. of Waste Diversion hosts many events where we can co-collect household batteries (<11 lbs each) along with other materials. See the list below. Note: Food Waste events happen each weekend & Special Waste Collection Events happen quarterly.
