Exercise your creativity- with Melissa Domiati author of 'Flowers from the Farm' .Melissa Domiati is a best-selling Boorloo based author, mother and educator with a passion for poetry, travel and empowering others to share their voices through writing. Melissa survived a near death experience, thanks to a Royal Flying Doctor rescue, resulting in a year of learning to walk again, a pivotal time in reassessing her life. Her reflections culminated in her poetry. She has been writing poetry since a small child, on anything she could get her hands on - her favourite being the smooth bark of the paperbark tree. Her poetry has featured in numerous publications, ‘Flowers from the Farm’ is her debut poetry collection, launched by Writing WA at The State Library on April 4 2024. It has sold widely across the globe on Amazon, reaching number one in categories including love poetry and inner child.'Flowers from the Farm' explores empowerment and encourages others to write. It has been enjoyed by many people who are not traditionally into poetry. Melissa holds degrees in Literature and International education, teaching ATAR English & Literature, together with ESL students across the globe has made her poetry very accessible, whilst still incorporating traditional poetic techniques in a somewhat playful manner. She fervently believes that there should be more poetry in the world to help people share their own authentic voices and to distil life's challenges.Personally, she writes to breathe and finds it the most cathartic endeavour and enjoys leading workshops to help others express their unique story through their own authentic words. She is also travelling the globe interviewing people over 90 who are living well mentally and physically for a book on the art of longevity - she has travelled to over 55 countries.Melissa has been helping others across the world express their creativity for more than 25 years and hopes to help you 'let shadows fall behind you, make room to bloom' in your own journey.
