Getting started with Eventbrite Payment Processing

When collecting in Swedish Krona (kr), you'll need to collect payments using PayPal and not Eventbrite Payment Processing. We'll charge the Eventbrite Service Fee and PayPal's payment processing fee will be charged by PayPal. You'll receive an invoice on the first of the month for the previous month's Eventbrite Service Fee amount you collected through PayPal on our behalf.

— Pricing

For events collecting in Swedish Krona (kr), the PayPal payment processing fee can vary and cannot be passed on to your attendees. This is in addition to the Eventbrite Service Fee per ticket sold — depends on your package, the ticket price, currency collected, and payment processor (all set by you). Essentials, Professional, and Premium package pricing can be found here.

TIP: Learn more about your package options.

— Payouts

Payout timeframes and payout statuses are determined by PayPal, since payment is processed on their system (outside of Eventbrite). Contact PayPal for more information.

NOTE: Since payment is processed outside of Eventbrite, we'll invoice you to recover the Eventbrite Service Fee you collected through PayPal on our behalf.

— Refunds

Before you publish your event on Eventbrite, set a refund policy (1 day, 7 days, 30 days, or no refunds). If an attendee requests for a refund, respond within 1 week to maintain a positive attendee experience and prevent chargebacks. Whether you have a refund policy set for the event or not, you can process refunds up to 3 days after your event ends. The Eventbrite Service Fee is returned for any full refunds issued to attendees, but PayPal may keep a retain a portion of their fee for any refunds issued for payments processed on their system. Contact PayPal for more information. Learn how to refund orders.

NOTE: A refund policy can't be added or changed once your event is published and refunds outside of your policy may still be expected in certain situations.

— Alternatives

In addition to online payment methods, you can offer attendees the ability to select an offline payment method when registering. Just make sure to let them know how they can deliver their payment to you since it doesn't process online and isn't included in your payout.
