The roots of our winery date back to over half a century ago when our grandfather, Zurab Mzekalashvili, planted Rkatsiteli grapevines and began to produce Qvevri wines in the wine cellar at his home in Kvareli. His passion and love for viticulture and winemaking inspired the entire family to follow his footsteps in the tradition of making unique wines of the highest quality, using a few specific technologies our grandfather shared with us.
