Monica Hurd

At the young age of eight years old, Monica accepted the Lord into her heart. She attended Full Gospel Tabernacle United Holy Church of America, where her grandmother, Dr. Mary E. Frazer, served as Pastor. The oldest of four siblings, raised single handedly by her mom, in Staten Island, New York. Early on she was put to serve in a leadership capacity, where she provided guidance and support to many young people as they’ve made some of life’s most difficult decisions and transitions. At 19, she married and within that union of 16 years, gave birth to five children. While in an abusive relationship she read the Purpose Driven Life book by Rick Warren, she laid down on her face, to worship in her living room one day and asked God to speak to her. She asked God to show her purpose, thus Purpose Driven Ladiez Ministry was born. In her search for significance, God gave her the tools she needed to help herself and insight to help others through the process as well. She later divorced and began to raise her children on her own. Monica relocated to the Bronx, New York, at 28; she became a member of the New Move of God Pentecostal church where she was ordained a minister of the gospel and served under the leadership of Overseer, Pastor Margie Cole-Kendley for nine and a half years. During this time Purpose Driven Ladiez ministry was relaunched and officially incorporated on January 26th, 2016. Monica found the strength to walk in obedience to God, and now able to help countless others discover and fulfill their purpose in Christ! On May 1st, 2021, she released her very first single entitled "Glorious King". A song that shares her journey of purpose with the one who gave her purpose. Monica loves people and wants to see them thriving with purposeful lives. She believes that the key to success is having purpose in every step. Overcoming divorce, Domestic Violence, Sexual Abuse, low self-esteem, suicide and depression, she knows first hand the importance of finding purpose in life. Now thirty-six years old, she is a member of New Creation Global Church, In Long Island, New York, where her Pastor is Dr. Michael J. Battle. It is her desire to continue to serve God by partnering with Ladiez to be the solution needed in this time of the earth, creating legacy, breaking cycles by becoming purpose driven.
