In 2021, MiShon lost her oldest child, Ellis on Father’s Day weekend, her mom and dad only ten days apart later in October, with her mom dying on her late son’s birthday. She also lost her last living biological grandparents who also died only days apart, a favorite first cousin, her spiritual pastor of fifteen years, her mother’s close friend of forty years, her husband’s best friend of thirty years, and a close colleague. All these losses occurred in the span of only ten months with only one of them being anticipated and one other was Covid related.
As you can imagine these losses created an incredible amount of grief for MiShon and her family. While MiShon will forever grieve these incredible losses, she seeks ways to support herself and shares with others her learnings through an intentional healing and grief journey process.
