LABA

Founded in 2015, LABA is an organization dedicated to improving cultural, social and ethnic diversity in the field of applied behavior analysis as well as addressing the particular needs of diverse individuals and diverse communities. LABA was formed by three Latino behavior analysts, Ruth Tello-Di Leva, Isaac Bermudez and Jose D Rios, who, combined have worked in the field of behavior analysis for nearly 90 years.

LABA was the first behavior analytic organization formed specifically to address diversity (and the absence of diversity) in our field. LABA focuses on disseminating evidenced-based practices and providing support, resources, training opportunities, communication and networking opportunities to practitioners and students with the purpose of increasing the visibility, participation and collaboration of Latinos and other underrepresented groups in the leadership of behavior analytic organizations, educational institutions and behavior analytic agencies.
