Kami's Craft Corner

Kami (they/them) is a Black, queer, non-binary, disabled, second-generation Trinidadian immigrant and a multidisciplinary artist, community organizer, and facilitator. Their mission is to create accessible opportunities for people to practice the arts and build community through creativity.

Kami’s work centers queer, trans, BIPOC, neurodivergent, and disabled folks, with a focus on crafting third spaces—places where people can gather, create, and connect without barriers. Through events like the Queer Fiber Arts Skillshare & Craft Circle, Kami is building spaces where art becomes a tool for empowerment, storytelling, and collective care.

Their goal is to make creativity more inclusive, intergenerational, and accessible, ensuring that those historically excluded from the arts have a space to express themselves, share skills, and exist without pressure.
