Bærum Kunsthall
Bærum Kunsthall's mandate is to present uncompromising and topical art that is challenging, while at the same time making it accessible to everyone.
Large parts of the annual program are prepared through the Kunsthall’s "Open Call" process, where an external jury selects the majority of the Kunsthall’s exhibition program. Bærum Kunsthall is a neutral exhibition space and therefore does not limit artists' freedom of expression or diversity in art and believes in art's ability and need to foster debate. The gallery's employees and board do not necessarily agree with the content of the art on display.
The operation of Bærum Kunsthall is supported mainly by public funds. The Kunsthall is thus linked, through grants from applications, to ethical and practical legislation at the municipal, county and state level.
