Agata Emma
Agata Emma (b. 1995) was born into a Polish family in France. After several years working in the cultural sector in Brussels, she recently relocated to Barcelona, where her artistic practice continues to evolve.
Working with collage, photography, and more recently mosaic, Agata Emma explores the power of layering—of both materials and meaning. Through these mediums, she collects, accumulates, and slowly reconstructs images in which reality is not fixed, but reimagined and revealed anew.
With her analog camera, she captures forgotten or overlooked moments from daily life, an invitation to journey into imagined landscapes that may never exist, yet spark dreams and wonder. Her collage work is a delicate process of assembling paper fragments, each with its own history, texture, and voice. These fragments come together in compositions that feel both spontaneous and intentional—like soulmates meeting by chance.
