Organizer of Explore the Canal in Sefton
We're not just a charity. We're the guardians of 2,000 miles of waterways that criss-cross England and Wales, and we're passionate believers in the life-enhancing power of these blue and green spaces. Our mission is straightforward but powerful: to ensure that life is better by water. But we're more than just caretakers. We're an active community working alongside volunteers and local communities to transform our canals and rivers into spaces where everyone can spend time and feel better. We aim to bring well-being opportunities to millions, right to their doorstep. We organise a variety of events, many of them completely free of charge. Our events range from taster sessions for activities like Paddling, Walking, Fishing, to Keep Fit classes, Yoga, and even arts-based activities as part of our popular 'Let's' programme. Each event is designed to help you tap into the health and wellbeing benefits of our spaces, to get closer to nature, to learn about our shared heritage, and to just enjoy the great outdoors.Your support is invaluable in helping us continue our mission. By donating, you're not just helping us maintain these vital spaces - you're joining a community that believes life is better by water. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps us keep our waterways alive and vibrant, offering health, happiness, and well-being to millions. To make a difference today, pleasevisit our donation page. Thank you for helping us ensure that our canals and rivers remain beautiful, accessible, and enriching for everyone.
